Technical architecture
- A browser frontend handles room invitations and AES-GCM message encryption.
- Room keys are passed in URL fragments; the backend stores message ciphertext and initialization vectors.
- An Express API and SQLite database manage rooms and bounded message history.
Current work & outcomes
- Invitation-based rooms without a sign-up flow.
- Browser-side encryption, message polling, and conversation export.
- A public web entry point and a workflow designed for Apple Shortcuts.
Development status
Implementation details describe the current project, not an independent security audit. Anyone receiving a room invitation with its key can access that room. The illustration below is a concept, not a live conversation screenshot.
